Which mid cap fund is the most consistent?

Answer refreshed with data updated · research, not investment advice

Consistency in mid caps isn't topping the chart in the best year — it's falling less in the worst ones and compounding without heart-stopping detours. The cleanest single measure of that is the Sortino ratio (return per unit of downside risk): a high-Sortino mid cap made its returns while controlling the falls, which is exactly what 'consistent' means in practice.

Before shortlisting from the board below, open the fund's detail page and scan its year-by-year returns: a consistent fund shows a tight band across years, not one monster year propping up the average. Cross-check the standard deviation against category peers too — lower spread, steadier ride.

The leaderboard re-ranks every mid cap fund by 3-year Sortino at each data refresh, so it never goes stale. Research, not investment advice.
